Prevention Campaign  -  Spokesperson

It is with immense pleasure that we welcome one of the legendary figures in the field of nutrition, Mme Louise Lambert-Lagacé, as the spokesperson of our Prevention Campaign 2000-2003. We could not have found a better or more expert voice in nutrition matters to help us promote our campaign, which is based on preventing neural tube defects by asking women to plan their pregnancies and take folic acid.

Mme Lambert-Lagacé is a dietician, communicator and the author of 9 general readership books on nutrition, among which is the well-known guide, Feeding Your Child, which has sold over 250,000 copies.

Mme Lambert-Lagacé's books are known world-wide and have appeared in many languages. Indeed, she is a renowned 'star' in the field of nutrition and of women's and children's health. Apart from her publications, she frequently appears on radio and television broadcasts, gives international lectures, provides nutritional information on the web, and intervenes in nutritional matters with professional associations, nutrition councils and committees, health establishments, and among the general public.

Mme Lambert-Lagacé has been awarded several prizes, among which are the Médaille du Cent-cinquantième of Université de Montréal`s Faculty of Medicine, the Order of Canada, and the Médaille de la Renaissance française.

Mme Lambert-Lagacé also has a private practice in nutritional consulting since 1974.

The SBHAQ is honoured to have her join us in our Prevention Campaign 2000-2003.
