  • PROMOTE FOLIC ACID as the key to preventing neural tube defects
  • PUBLICIZE OUR ASSOCIATION, its programs, its services
  • CONVINCE people to financially support our cause

Please read on and acquaint yourself with our upcoming activities, our sponsors, and our Campaign spokesperson.

Association de spina-bifida et d'hydrocéphalie du Québec

Press release

A new pub!

Montreal, June 19th 2007 - As you know, the Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Association of Quebec had for mission to inform the population about these congenital malformations and to prevent them. Since June the 4th, you can hear on Rythme FM station, a new audio publicity. This publicity puts in a scene a couple who is contemplating about some qualities and defaults, and about the name of their future baby who will be born from their union. The message is divided in two parts. The first one attracts our interest by the talking couple “in the bed”. Part two is more informative, but gives less morale, and suggests taking the folic acid.

Rythme FM station gracefully offered to record the three audio messages. Geneviève Gélineau and Stéphane Richard gave their voices to the characters whereas Marie-Josée D'Amours made the advertisement.

This publicity campaign begins Monday the 4th of June and will last for four weeks, during June, Spina Bifida awareness month. Visit the www.publiciterre.org/spina.html site to see pictures of the recording and to listen to the three messages.
