Advocacies

The SBHAQ has identified several advocacy programs of particular urgency that affect the lives of people with spina bifida. Beyond its mandate to encourage research and to inform its members and the general public of its activities, preventive measures, and medical and social resources currently in place, there are other areas that require further development, consultation, and documentation. These other spheres all concert the need to integrate people with spina bifida into basic social and educational programs.

Find out about these advocacy programs by reading on about our efforts in transportation, families, employment, school integration, and leisure.
